Cloud Security

Cloud security, also known as cloud computing security, consists of a set of policies, controls, procedures and technologies that work together to protect cloud-based systems, data, and infrastructure. Cloud security is the protection of data stored online via cloud computing platforms from theft, leakage, and deletion. Methods of providing cloud security include firewalls, penetration testing, obfuscation, tokenization, virtual private networks (VPN), and avoiding public internet connections. Cloud security is a form of cybersecurity.

Types of Security Solutions are available today:

  • Identity and access management (IAM)
  • Data loss prevention (DLP)
  • Security information and event management (SIEM)

Cloud firewall

Cloud firewalls block cyber attacks directed at these cloud assets. As the name implies, a cloud firewall is a firewall that is hosted in the cloud.
Cloud-based firewalls form a virtual barrier around cloud platforms, infrastructure, and applications, just as traditional firewalls form a barrier around an organization's internal network
